Brown Mackie College – Louisville Invites Public to Strike for Cancer
(Louisville, Ky. – Sept. 19, 2013) Brown Mackie College – Louisville invites the community to join the school for a family-friendly fundraiser on October 12. The bowling event, “Striking for Breast Cancer,” will raise funds for the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer program. It will take place from 2 pm – 4 pm at Strike and Spare Bowling, 6220 Sheperdsville Road, Louisville (corner of Shepardsville and Fern Valley).
The event will cost $10 per person and includes shoe rental. It will feature a silent auction hosted by radio personality Jessica Lee from 102.3 the Max.
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is the largest network of breast cancer awareness events in the nation, uniting nearly 300 communities to finish the fight. Every breast cancer walk and event is an incredible and inspiring opportunity to honor those who have battled breast cancer, raise awareness about what we can do to reduce our breast cancer risk, and raise money to help the American Cancer Society fight the disease with research, information and services, and access to mammograms for women who need them.
