Brown Mackie College - Merrillville Celebrates 200 Graduates At Commencement On Saturday. May 21
MERRILLVILLE, IN, May 10, 2016 — Brown Mackie College – Merrillville is pleased to announce commencement ceremonies for its 2016 graduating class. The event will take place on Saturday, May 21 at 11 am at the Hammond Civic Center located at 5825 Sohl Av. Hammond, IN 46320.
School President James Kapitan will preside over the ceremony and will confer 200 degrees to students in the following programs:
Bachelor of Science
- Business Administration
Associate of Science
- Business Management
- Criminal Justice
Associate of Applied Science
- Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Medical Assistant
- Paralegal Assistant
- Criminal Justice Specialist
- General Business
Rob Staley, chief executive officer of the Crossing School of Business & Entrepreneurship, a faith-based, accredited, alternative high school in the state of Indiana, will serve as keynote speaker for the ceremony.
The Crossing School of Business & Entrepreneurship currently has 28 campuses state wide, and contracts with over 60 public school corporations. It was founded by Staley in 2003 after he’d served 25 years as a public school educator. The mission of the Crossing is to empower struggling students to become contributing members of their community through academics, job training and character education.
