Brown Mackie College – Findlay Associate of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy Assistant Students to Pilot New Program for Hope House.

Brown Mackie College – Findlay Associate of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)students designed and proposed a new program to bring additional resources to patrons of the community non-profit organization Hope House of Findlay, Ohio.

The program, Friends of Hope, is a peer activities group with goals to connect, empower, and offer self-improvement activities to individuals using Hope House services. Emphasis is placed on activities based around member interests. Sessions will be run by volunteer occupational therapy practitioners and students utilizing their skills and knowledge of the profession.

The partnership between the school and the non-profit organization will be overseen by Brown Mackie College – Findlay OTA program director, Dr. Elizabeth Wargo.
