Veterinary Technology

The Veterinary Technology associate’s degree program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills leading to entry-level employment in a variety of veterinary clinical settings and related fields. Graduates of this program will be prepared to provide a wide range of clinical skills including animal patient care, laboratory procedures, medical imaging, anesthesia administration and monitoring, and surgical assistance for a variety of domestic animals.

VTNE OUTCOMES
The Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE) is owned and administered by the American Association of Veterinary State Boards (AAVSB). The VTNE is used to evaluate entry-level veterinary technicians' competency to practice and to be credentialed.

The three-year pass rate for first-time test takers of the VTNE based on a July 1 to June 30 reporting year (2011-2014) was: 42.86%
