The Nursing programs offers study in the areas of science, medications, patient care, and medical recordkeeping. The knowledge gained from coursework forms the basis for utilizing the nursing process in a professional practice. Concurrent integration of theory into clinical practice is an important aspect of professional nursing education. Graduates of these programs will have the opportunity to pursue employment in a variety of settings including, hospitals, long-term care facilities, and home health.
Select a Program Nursing Practical Nursing
The Nursing degree program provides the graduates with principles and knowledge from the biological and behavioral sciences, general education as well as the science of nursing. This knowledge forms the basis for utilizing the nursing process in a professional practice. Concurrent integration of theory into clinical practice is an important aspect of professional nursing education. The program prepares the student for the testing required by the Kansas State Board of Nursing for the licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse.
