Shalisa Powell: President President’s Bio

Ms. Shalisa Powell joined Brown Mackie College – Merrillville in December 2010.  She has more than nine years of higher education experience where she has served as Director of Admissions and Campus President. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Florida A&M University and a Masters in Education from Capella University.  She is currently pursuing her PhD in Organizational Management and Leadership.

Shalisa is a native of St. Louis, Missouri and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.  As an experienced public speaker and trainer; her passion in life lies in developing leadership in others and changing behaviors through elevated thinking.  She looks forward to a long and prosperous career of changing lives through education and motivation.
