The Brown Mackie College — Michigan City's Veterinary Technology program has provisional programmatic accreditation granted by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) through the Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities (CVTEA).
The Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE) is owned and administered by
the American Association of Veterinary State Boards (AAVSB). The VTNE is used to evaluate
entry-level veterinary technicians’ competency to practice and to be credentialed.

the test for the first time in an earlier period elected to take the test for
the first time in a later period.
