Kansas City Graduates Awarded Certified Coder-Apprentice Credential

(Lenexa, Kan. - August 24, 2006) Brown Mackie College - Kansas City is pleased to announce that three of its graduates have been awarded the Certified Professional Coder-Apprentice (CPC-A) credential after passing the national certification examination. The graduates are Jesse O. Barnett of Shawnee, KS; Teresa Gardner of Overland Park, KS; and Susan Lee of Stillwell, KS.
These students are recent graduates of the college's Medical Coding & Billing program at Brown Mackie College - Kansas City, located in Lenexa. The certification is sponsored by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC), located in Salt Lake City, with chapters in all 50 states. AAPC is a nationally-recognized organization offering professional accreditation, education, recognition and networking opportunities to medical coders.
Brown Mackie College - Kansas City has been serving the needs of both students and employers since 1892, which makes it the oldest, continuously operating associate's degree-granting institution in Kansas.
