Brown Mackie College – Kansas City Launches Associate of Applied Science in Health & Fitness Training Degree Program

(KANSAS CITY, KS – September 4, 2009) Brown Mackie College – Kansas City has launched a new Associate of Applied Science in Health & Fitness Training degree program.
The Health & Fitness Training program is designed to equip graduates with skills and knowledge to gain an entry-level position in the health, fitness, and wellness or the recreation industry. “The program also provides knowledge and skills to prepare students for entry-level employment as Fitness and Athletic Trainers,” says Susan Naples, President, Brown Mackie College – Kansas City.
The curriculum includes classes in Fitness Assessment and Exercise Prescription for Health, Exercise Psychology and Exercise Physiology. In addition, students will take general
education courses that will assist in their professional development and ability to assume leadership roles in which they will be required to manage, lead, and communicate effectively.
