(SALINA, Kan. - October 16, 2007) Brown Mackie College - Salina and Kansas Wesleyan University have recently signed an "Agreement of Understanding" (2+2 program) that is specifically designed for Brown Mackie College - Salina's Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Nursing program.
The articulation agreement signing took place on September 24, 2007. Brown Mackie College - Salina president Judy Holmes and Kansas Wesleyan University president, Philip Kerstetter signed the paperwork for finalization of the articulation agreement, prior to a formal reception.
This agreement was set up to establish guidelines and ensure the transferability of Brown Mackie College's students who complete the AAS in Nursing degree program and who are licensed as Registered Nurses to Kansas Wesleyan University's baccalaureate-level degree program in Nursing with a junior year status.
Brown Mackie College - Salina's AAS in Nursing program provides the graduates with principles and knowledge from the biological and behavioral sciences, general education as well as the science of nursing. In Salina, Brown Mackie College -Salina and Kansas Wesleyan University are the only two institutions of higher learning.
