A reception honoring Brown Mackie basketball coach Francis Flax is scheduled for Tuesday.
The reception will be from 4-6 p.m. in the Brown Mackie College financial aid building located in Fountain Plaza, which is north of the school's main building, 2106 S. Ninth Street.
Flax was inducted into the NJCAA Division II Men's Basketball Coaches Hall of Fame on Wednesday in Danville, Ill., site of the Division II national tournament.
Flax started the Brown Mackie program 16 years ago and has led the Lions to two Division II national championships and two fourth-place finishes.
He has over 300 victories as Brown Mackie's coach and nearly 500 victories in 25 years as a junior college coach.
