Degrees, Diplomas, and Certificates

The kind of program you go for depends on your interest, needs, and the amount of time you can devote to study. A bachelor's degree is awarded at the completion of a four-year program. An associate's degree is awarded at the completion of a two-year program. A program resulting in receipt of a diploma is generally less of a time commitment and is structured to provide students with a specific skill set. A certificate is awarded at the completion of a series of courses that prepare students for employment in a selected vocation. A certificate can also be earned while preparing for an associate’s degree.
