(CANTON, Ohio - September 19, 2007) Brown Mackie College - North Canton will celebrate its relocation to a new facility with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at 10 am.
Peter Perkowski, campus president of Brown Mackie College - North Canton, and the school's faculty and staff will be joined by local dignitaries and community leaders for the ribbon cutting ceremony. Guest speakers scheduled to attend include: Danny Finuf, Brown Mackie College system president; Ohio State Representative W. Scott Oelslager; Cheryl Haschak, superintendent of Jackson Schools; and Ruthann Wilkof, president of the Jackson-Belden Chamber of Commerce.
According to Perkowski, the ribbon cutting ceremony will be an important milestone for the school. "This is an exciting time for us," says Perkowski. "For over 20 years, our school has been a dedicated partner in the Canton community, and the new school helps to solidify our commitment to enhancing the quality of our students' educational experience."
The school, located at 4300 Munson Street NW, broke ground on a new 50,000-square-foot facility in Jackson Township in January, and officially moved in the spring. The new building, which is double the size of the school's former facility, will accommodate over 1,000 students and features an expanded library, four new nursing labs, two new medical assisting labs, and six new computer technology labs.
Members of the media are invited to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony, which will be followed by a reception for all guests. For more information about Brown Mackie College - North Canton, call (330) 494-1214 or visit the school's website at www.brownmackie.edu/northcanton.
