(BOISE, ID - October 19, 2009) Brown Mackie College - Boise has launched a new Associate of Applied Science in Architectural Design & Drafting Technology degree program that is designed to prepare students for a career in architectural design & drafting technology.
The program is also designed to equip students with skills necessary to create architectural and engineering production documents. "The program provides knowledge and skills to prepare students for entry- level employment in the architectural, engineering and related fields in a support capacity," says Rick Murphree, President, Brown Mackie College - Boise.
The curriculum includes classes in computer-aided design (CAD), building information modeling (BIM), and 3D visualization and modeling, as well as an extensive externship experience. In addition, students will take general education courses that will assist in their professional development and ability to articulate and communicate effectively.
