Brown Mackie College ? South Bend to Celebrate Milestone Ground Breaking

(South Bend, IN — April 14, 2009)   Brown Mackie College — South Bend will hold its milestone ground breaking relocation ceremony on Tuesday, April 21, 2009; 10:00 a.m. at the site of its new home located at 3454 Douglas Road in South Bend. The school, scheduled to move to its new building in August 2009, boasts 46,000 square feet of classroom, laboratory, and office space.

"This will be an exciting day for our community and for Brown Mackie College — South Bend," said Louise Stienkeoway, president of Brown Mackie College — South Bend. "I see the building of our new facility as a way to further improve the academic environment we offer to our students to so they can continue to be contributing members of our society. Additionally, we are extremely proud to be a member of the South Bend community and providing academic programs to students from the surrounding communities."

South Bend Mayor, Steve Luecke; Mark Dobson, President & CEO, The Chamber of Commerce of St. Joseph County; and Phil Damico, Director of Business Growth, The Chamber of Commerce of St. Joseph County are expected to attend the ceremony and join Brown Mackie College — South Bend president, Louise Stienkeoway, faculty, staff, and students, and other local dignitaries and community leaders in celebrating this important milestone for Brown Mackie College — South Bend.

Members of the media are invited to attend the ceremony, which will begin at 10:00 a.m.  A reception for all guests will take place immediately after the ceremony.
