Brown Mackie College — Miami is conveniently located at 1501 Biscayne Boulevard, Miami, FL 33132. The College occupies the second floor of the newly renovated OMNI center. Miami International University of Art & Design is located on the ground floor of the OMNI center. The two schools — both owned and operated by the same parent company, Pittsburgh-based Education Management Corporation (EDMC) — share support systems, student lounges, computer labs, a library, and many other services. The College offers a modern, professional, smoke-free environment for study.
Each student has access to the technology, tools, and facilities needed to complete projects in each subject area. The facilities include classrooms, media presentation rooms for special instructional needs, computer labs, and medical labs. The labs provide students with hands-on opportunities to apply knowledge and skills learned in the classroom. Students are welcome to use the labs when they’re not being used for scheduled classes.
A library, located adjacent to the Omni in The Grand Complex, is shared by both schools. The collection includes 19,749 volumes, including books and visual aids. In addition, the library subscribes to more than 200 periodicals specific to the academic programs offered. The library is easily accessible to students via the skywalk that connects to Miami International University of Art & Design, as are several eateries, shops, salons, and businesses located in neighboring hotels.
