According to Kevin Carr, a 2005 graduate of Brown Mackie College — Merrillville's Business Management program, the secret to his success as an Investment Representative at J.P. Morgan Chase Bank is trust and good people skills. As he explains it, "People have to trust me because I am dealing with their money, and they have to have faith in me to help map out their future."
Carr views his position as Investment Representative as a responsibility to help men and women reach their financial and retirement goals. While some may view financial stability as an unattainable dream, Carr's skill and expertise easily makes it a reality. Carr's daily tasks as an Investment Representative include writing and selling investments, providing financial planning advice, as well as helping people plan for retirement. "I love being able to help people," says Carr, and this inspires him to become as knowledgeable as he possibly can.
Carr's aspirations include becoming a manager in the Investment Department for J.P. Morgan Chase Bank within the next five years. With a Business Management degree from Brown Mackie College — Merrillville, Carr is at a great advantage in the business world. "I hope to be leading a team in financial education and preparing hard working men and women to reach their financial goals and realize their retirement dreams," he says. "I feel we have the responsibility to be the best we can be, and I have made that commitment to myself."
Carr simply has a passion for what he does. However, what drives him more is the importance of an education. "We make choices in life and those choices shape the future, not only for ourselves but for our children and grandchildren. To compete in the business world, an education is invaluable, and with the education I received from Brown Mackie College — Merrillville, I am certainly ready," says Carr.
