Culinary Arts students Jennifer Snelson and Nicole Choinski were honored as recipients of the 2008 Sue Zelickson Award from Women Who Really Cook (WWRC). The Sue Zelickson Award offers a $500 award for education-related expenses based on the students’ academic achievements, letters of recommendation, personal essays, professional, community, volunteer involvement, awards and honors. The winning students also receive a complimentary one-year membership to the WWRC and will have a mentor selected from the organization to guide them into the culinary industry.
About the WWRC: "Women Who Really Cook" is a networking organization for women in the food business in the Twin Cities area. Monthly meetings are held in various locations where members work to share successes, ideas, dreams, desires, products and possibilities in the food world. Their mission is to meet others with similar interests, concerns, and joys... to take time to laugh, smile, taste, and relish each other’s specialties, while sharing our wants and needs with each other.
