Brown Mackie College Appoints Jim Bishop as President, Brown Mackie College - Fort Wayne

(Fort Wayne, IN - May 30, 2008) Brown Mackie College -- Fort Wayne has appointed Jim Bishop as President. For the past four years, Jim has served as Dean of Academic Affairs for the college during a period of tremendous growth and the addition of a number of new programs.
In his new role, Jim will provide leadership and support to faculty and staff, and will continue to prepare students for the workforce.
A native of northern Indiana, Jim earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Manchester College in North Manchester, Indiana and an MBA from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.
Mr. Bishop has more than 12 years of experience in senior administration in higher education. Prior to joining Brown Mackie College - Fort Wayne, he served as Vice President, Extended Studies Division with Indiana Institute of Technology (Indiana Tech) and was instrumental in developing the graduate division of that university.
When asked about his new role, Jim stated, "I am grateful to have the opportunity to lead such a flourishing institution as Brown Mackie College - Fort Wayne. With a current enrollment of over 1,200 students from the Greater Fort Wayne community, we take pride in producing graduates with the skills to compete for careers in their field. I am fortunate and honored to be part of such a successful enterprise."
