Brown Mackie College — Fort Wayne is one of the oldest institutions of its kind in the country and the oldest in the state of Indiana. Established in 1882 as the South Bend Commercial College, the School later changed its name to Michiana College. In 1930, Michiana College was incorporated under the laws of the state of Indiana and was authorized to confer associate’s degrees and certificates in business. In 1992, the school, currently known as Brown Mackie College — South Bend, added a branch campus in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In 2004, Michiana College’s Fort Wayne location changed its name to Brown Mackie College — Fort Wayne. Brown Mackie College — Fort Wayne consists of 50,000-square-feet of classrooms, medical, computer, and occupational therapy labs, a library, bookstore, and office space.

The College campus is nonresidential and is accessible by public transportation and provides ample parking at no additional charge. All campus facilities are smoke-free.
