The Dental Assisting diploma program at Brown Mackie College – Findlay can prepare you with the dental assistant training needed to work as a member of the dental health team, and to assist the dentist in all phases of dentistry. From head and neck anatomy to radiologic techniques, our program is designed to prepare you to become a dental assistant. The program includes training in general and specialty dentistry, chairside procedures, and laboratory and business office assisting.
Dental assistants perform a variety of tasks including sterilizing instruments and equipment, assisting the dentist, performing patient x-rays, and making patients comfortable. Employment opportunities in the dental assisting field are expected to outpace others as more dentists rely on trained staff to perform these varied duties.*
