A Criminal Justice diploma may be used as a building block toward a Criminal Justice degree, or it may be used by students who have degrees and/or experience in unrelated fields who are seeking to develop skills that will lead to a successful career change. Careers in Criminal Justice include criminal investigator, corrections officer, customs agent, legal assistant, and court administrator.

This Criminal Justice diploma program offers you courses on:
• Practical guidelines for law enforcement officers with respect to the legal aspects of their daily duties and the rights of defendants.
• Criminal law, which pertains to any act or omission in violation of a public law forbidding or commanding it; business law with an introduction to contracts and the application of legal principles to such areas as corporations, agencies, partnerships, and bailments; and family law, including divorce, custody, alimony, child support, adoption, and juvenile law.
• Legal research and writing. Topics include organizing a research plan, the use of primary and secondary sources, and formulating a systematic method of researching legal issues.
